Fonn certainly can't speak his language--yet, anyway--but she, like Loki and Thor, has the advantage of the Allspeak. She might learn to understand him in a relatively short time, with enough exposure. For now, though, the whiteboard is the best option.

"Yes, Prince Loki asked me to take some small samples to put through the soul forge, and for other tests. Blood and saliva especially. I'd like to test your claws as well, but that won't require taking pieces of them, only a few brushings to see what bacteria you carry on them."
